The working week is assumed to consist of five eight hour days. The average monthly income calculation is based on there being twelve equally long months in the year.

The number of working days in the current financial year calculation (which in turn is used to calculate your daily income) is based on the Australian financial year which runs from July 1st until June 31st of the following year.

The leave calculation assumes that you are provided 20 days of leave annually, which is accrued evenly over every working day.

The income tax is based on a four tier graduated taxation system. These levels can be adjusted below (default is correct for 08/09 Australian financial year).
